It looks like throwing tortillas onto the field during games, a tradition that began in the early 1990s, has come to an end!

The university has introduced new rules that prohibit tortilla tossing due to concerns about safety and sportsmanship.

Fans caught throwing tortillas could face consequences such as ejection from the stadium or arrest.

The tradition of tossing tortillas has been a staple at Texas Tech football games for decades, but fans will now have to find new ways to show their support for the team without endangering players or disrupting the game.

Love it or hate it - let's get behind our boys!  Wreck 'Em!!!

Haunted Tour of Texas Tech Campus
Friday, October 24 | 8:00pm – Midnight
Texas Tech Dairy Barn

Attendees will be accompany by a lantern-bearing investigator, as you wind your way through campus, where you’ll encounter a cast of storytellers. Along your journey tales will be spun, weaving together a spooky tapestry of TTU’s storied history. Each story is unique, and their source ranges from legends passed down between generations of students and still whispered in dormitories today, to real life tragedies that have left a permanent scar on Raiderland.

Due to the presentation of some scary stories, families should consider this event to be rated PG-13. Whether or not they attend is left entirely to their parent or guardian’s discretion.

Tours go at a walking pace for 60 minutes, and cover just over 1.5 miles. Tickets are $5/person.
