Whether you love the food (who doesn't love fair food?), the rides, the exhibits, or the petting zoo - the South Plains Fair is in full swing.
Cost: · 13 years and up $10 · 2-12 years $5 · 1 and under FREE · Parking $5 · Tickets are non-refundable · Weekdays – entry is free until 1 p.m.
Hours of Admission: Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. through 11 p.m.
Food stands open at 11 AM
Special days during Fair Week. Monday, September 22, Veterans Day any veteran gets in the gate for $5. Tuesday, September 23, Senior Citizens Day, persons 60 years of age or older get in the gate for $5. $2 Tuesday, each ride $2 a piece Thursday, September 25, College Night present your current college ID and get in the gate for $5. Thursday, September 25, is also wristband day $40 wristband to ride unlimited rides from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Read More... |

Ever needed a killer lunch, but you're tired of the same old fast food joint? You gotta track down the Taste Buds Food Co. food truck. Seriously, these guys are serving up some of the best grub on wheels you'll find anywhere in town.
It's not just your typical burger and fries, though they'll hook you up with a fantastic burger if that's what you're craving. Their menu is all over the place, in the best way possible. We've seen anything from their famous "Chicken Sammich" - grilled pork chops - naan wraps - katsu bowls - even a Spam sandwich! And nothing ever misses - ever.
Simone, the owner, studied Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Dallas. She and her staff are always super friendly, and you can tell they care about the food they're making. It’s no surprise they’ve got a huge following here. Keep an eye out for them parked at a brewery or a local event—they’re a true Lubbock gem.
